Modifies certain rules of evidence applicable to offences of a sexual or indecent nature and imposes special duties on prosecutors in criminal proceedings relating to sexual offences as well as members of the police in respect of certain bail applications. Amends the Criminal Procedure Act, 1977 (definition of "complaint"). Provides for the rights of a complainant of rape in bail proceedings and regulates the granting of bail to persons charged with rape. Also provides for procedures in court and publication of evidence with respect to sexual offence cases.
