Law No. 20 of 28 March 2006 establishing the Sea Navigation Chamber. - Adoption: 2006-03-28 | SYR-2006-L-83630 The aim of this Law is to improve, develop and modernize the sea navigation sector. It is composed of 4 Chapters divided into 19 articles. Chapter I gives terms and definitions. Chapter II deals with objectives of the Sea Navigation Chamber which are: contribution in development and improvement of sea navigation sector; update its members and operators on technical and legislative development as well as on international treaties and conventions related to sea navigation; spreading and diffusion of the navigation awareness; carrying out studies and researches which contribute in the development of navigation sector; and, coordination with other Arab and international chambers in. Chapters III and VI pertain to the management and internal organization of the Chamber in particular; membership; and, the General Assembly and its competencies; Administration Council and competencies.
