    An Act of the Slovak National Council to provide for the organisation of the Ministries and other central bodies of state administration of the Slovak Republic. No. 347.

    Under this Act, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs is entrusted with responsability for labour relations, employment, the civil service, wages and other forms of remuneration, health insurance, social protection for children and young persons and all matters related to social policy (s.5). The Slovak Labour Protection Office is responsible for ensuring occupational health and safety (s.25).

    Responsability for all matters pertaining to manpower, hitherto within the terms of reference of the National Commissions, is transferred to the Labour Office.

    An Act of the Slovak National Council to modify the composition of the Ministries and other central bodies of State administration of the Slovak Republic. No. 195.

    Amends the Act of 28 December 1968 respecting the establishment of the Ministries, etc., as amended up to 1990 (Text No. 96). The Ministry of Finance, Prices and Wages is renamed "Ministry of Finance and Prices" and all matters pertaining to wages are transferred to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs is renamed "Ministry of Health" and all matters pertaining to social policy are transferred to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

    Notification of the Czechoslovakia Bureau of Mines respecting the inspection periods for electrical equipments, and the re-examination of inspectors of electrical equipment subject to control by the organs of the state mining administration. No. 60.

    The length of inspection periods depends on the type of workplace and lasts either one or two years. Safety inspectors are trained and examined in accordance with the type of mining activity. The testing of inspectors is furthermore classified according to the electrical equipment which they are supposed to control. The examination is both oral and written and its content is laid down in s.3. Inspectors have to undergo re-examination every 3 years..
