"(4) A person in receipt of a pension residing in Seychelles or overseas shall provide proof of life certificate in an approved form specified in Schedule 5 quarterly, prior to the pension being paid".

The Schedule to the Pension Regulations is also amended by including a new Schedule 5 which provides the layout of the Life Certificate and who is able to certify the certificate.

Article 2.
The retirement age for the purposes of the Social Security Act shall be -
(a) 60 years, where a person who on the person's next birthday shall be 60 years of age notifies the Director in the form provided by the Director, not less than three months before attaining the age of 60 years of the person's intention to retire on attaining the age of 60 years; or
(b) 63 years, unless the person has already retired at the age of 60 years.

Article 3.
The Social Security (Retirement Age) Regulations, 2010 (S.I. 80 of 2010) is hereby revoked.

In section 21 deletes the word "15th" in subsection (2) and (5) and replaces it with the word "21st". Adds a new section 29A concerning what a member is to be provided with, i.e. a statement of their contributions to the fund and a copy of the auditor's report, statement of income and expenditure and the balance sheet of the Fund. In section 54 the words "and published in the Official Gazette" are replaced by the words "and the statement of accounts shall be published on the Fund's website: www.pennsionfund.sc.".

This Act revises and consolidates the law relating to social security; it repeals the Social Security Decree 1979. Part III sets forth the description of benefits provided (sickness, maternity, employment injury, invalidity, disablement, survivor's, funeral, dependent's, orphan's and abandoned child's benefits, as well as retirement pensions) and the conditions for receiving them. Parts IV to VIII deal respectively with the determination of claims, administration and finance, collection and recovery, offences and penalties, and miscellaneous. The Act provides for the establishment of the Social Security Fund, which is subject to inspection (ss. 26-29), and a medical board (s. 30 and attached Schedule).
