Employment Protection (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1983 (No. 8 of 1983).

Provides that no employment contract may be terminated, other than for reasons of miscoduct, without undergoing a prescribed negotiation procedure. Restricts an employer's ability to vary conditions of employment and provides for employment protection in the case of a new owner of an enterprise. Provisions of this Act do not apply to government or domestic workers.
