Ministerial Order of 2011, concerning occupations that are dangerous or tiring or harmful to the health of youth. -

This Order determines the types of hazardous employment that are prohibited for juveniles under the age of 18 years.
The Order contains the following list of the types of jobs that are classified as hazardous or dangerous or tiring or harmful to the health of young workers.

1. Physical Hazard Works
2. Psychological and Social Hazards of Work
3. Moral Hazardous Works
4. Chemical Hazards
5. Physical Hazards
6. Biological and Bacteriological Hazards
7. Ergonomic Hazards
8. Other Hazards

Under these headings, further details are given as to the specific occupations that are considered to be hazardous to youth. Under the title other Hazards, children prohibited from working on ships. The Minister by an order may add more hazardous employment that are prohibited for children under the age of 18 years and that shall be according to a report formed by a specialized authority.

Corporation Agreement between The Government of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and The Government of Japan concerning the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy. -

The Government of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and The Government of Japan have signed on 10 September 2010 in Amman, Jordan an agreement that will enhance and develop cooperation between them in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.

This Agreement shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date on which the Parties exchange diplomatic notes informing each other that their respective internal procedures necessary for entry into force of this Agreement have been completed.

Regulation No. 42 of 1998 on Preventive Medical Care and Treatment of Employees in Establishments. Issued in accordance with Art. 85(b) of Labour Code, No. 8 of 1996. -

Provides that employers must ensure that workers undergo a medical examination before starting a job to ensure that they are physically able to do the work required. They may also establish periodic examinations. The results are to be kept in a special medical file for each worker. The employer is also obliged to inform the worker of the risks associated with the job. The regulation also provides for the establishment of medical services in all enterprises.

Physicians' Annual Contracts Regulations (No. 35 of 1991)

Regulations made under s. 71 of the Jordanian Medical Association Act (No.13 of 1972). A physician may conclude a fixed-term contract with any enterprise to provide medical care to its workers. Each physician may conclude a maximum of five such contracts, except where the Council of the Medical Association increases this number to make up for a shortage of physicians in a particular district.
