    The Act will take effect on a date fixed by the President by proclamation in the Gazette. Different commencement dates may be fixed for different parts of the Act.

    Extensively amends the laws relating to sexual offences including by re-enforcing penalties and providing extra protection for children and persons with disabilities. Also contains provision with respect to the trafficking of persons for sexual purposes.
