Constitution Amendment Act 2019 (2019, No. 6). - Adoption: 2019-01-31 | WSM-2019-L-111364 The amendment replaces Article 19(2) with the following:
“(2) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, a person who holds, or who has held for one (1) term, office as Head of State, is only eligible for re-appointment to that Office once.
(2A) A person who has held the office as Head of State for two (2) terms is not eligible to be reappointed to that Office.”.

These include the right to life (except in cases of death penalty) and liberty; freedom of religion, assembly and association; and freedom from forced labour and inhuman treatment. No law shall discriminate against persons on the grounds of their descent, sex, language, religion, nor shall it prevent the making of any provision for the advancement of women and children (s. 15).
