Sets forth inter alia, the amount of compensation in case of death, permanent incapacity, or injury of a worker. Deals with compensation for occupational diseases and provides for medical examinations in the event of accidents. Application of the Ordinance extended to seamen employed on Tuvalu ships.

Trade Unions Ordinance (Cap. 40.64). - Adoption: 1946-04-01 | TUV-1978-R-69537 An Ordinance to regulate trade unions, divided into 3 parts. Part I contains the preliminary provisions. Part II concerns the registration of trade unions and provides that they may not be deemed unlawful by virtue of being in restraint of trade. Part III deals with freedom of association, the role of trade unions in trade disputes and provides trade unions and their members with protection from civil actions such as actions of tort.

These include, inter alia, the prevention of the spread of infectious diseases including the segregation, isolation and removal of persons suffering from any such disease or of persons who have been in contact with any such persons; and regulating the carrying on of any trade declared by any such regulations to be an offensive trade.
