Recruiting of Workers Act (Cap. 88:10). -

Regulates recruitment of workers. Provides for licensing of persons who recruit workers. Sets forth prohibition to recruit persons under the age of 18. Recruitment of persons under that age but of or above the age of fourteen may be permitted with the consent of their parents or guardians for light work. Also provides for expenses of workers, return of workers to their homes and some related matters.

Deals with various aspects of recruitment of workers. Inter alia provides for granting of permission to recruit labour, family of recruited worker, grouping of workers under ethnic conditions, employment of juveniles, information to be supplied to workers of conditions of employment, transport facilities to be provided, care and repatriation of worker's family, advance against wages, and licence fees.
