Amends the Provident Fund Act, B.E. 2530 [1987].
Provides for the regulation of the Provident Fund, the establishment and management of the fund, its assets. Amends section 3 with respect to some definitions; section 5 concerning the establishment of the fund; section 7/1 concerning the assets to be in the fund; section 9(8) concerning payment when an employee's membership to the fund expires; section 9(10) concerning requirements relating to a general meeting. Adds new sections 16 and 17 on investments and recording of revenues. Section 23 is also amended concerning payments out of the fund; section 23/1, 23/2, and 23/3 are also added; sections 24 and 35 are also amended

English version published in Royal Thai Government Gazette, 1988-01-30, Vol. 42, No. 3, p. 23-35. Provident funds may be established by employers and employees making contributions to provide financial security in case of an employee's death, termination of employment or resignation from the fund. The Act contains provisions on establishment and management of funds, payments and dissolution of the fund, competent officials and penalties.
