    This Act repeals the 1941 Act on Control of Begging. Makes begging in the street an offence.Sections 6 to 12 stipulate the competent authorities to deal with the control of begging and sets out their responsibilities and duties. Section 13 provides that begging is to be prohibited, sets out the definition of begging and provides for exceptions. Makes it an offence to force anyone to beg. Under section 23, all offenses are punishable with imprisonment not exceeding one month and/or a ten thousand baht fine. Penalties for traffickers and those seeking to benefit from begging are more severe: prison sentences of up to three years and fines as high as 30,000 baht. Government officials found complicit face more extreme punishments: up to five years in jail and/or up to 50,000 baht in fines.

    Establishes the Gender Equality Promotion Committee and the Committee on Consideration of Unfair Gender Discrimination (WorLorPor). Defines the meaning of gender discrimination and sets out penalties and compensation.

    Ministerial Regulations issued under the provisions of the Alien Employment Act (B.E. 2544).

    Replaces Section 2 of Ministerial Regulations B.E. 2522 with the following provision: "In the case where the applicant submitting the application, as prescribed in paragraph one, is an alien person who wishes to work, or wishes to receive permission to work, in the representative office of a foreign legal person which engages in international trade, or in a regional representative office of a foreign legal person, which engages in the business of being a "provider of services" according to the laws pertaining to the operations of foreign businesses, or is an alien person who has received permission to enter and work within the Kingdom in accordance with the Investment Promotion Law, or according to other laws under Section 10, application for work permit may also be submitted at the Center for Visas and Work Permit, the Board of Investment, Office of the Prime Minister."
