National Health Insurance Act (B.E. 2545) (2002). - Adoption: 2002-11-11 | THA-2002-L-66897 Comprehensive legislation on national health insurance. Divided into 9 parts. Part 1 sets forth right to receive public health service. Part 2 establishes Commission on National Health Insurance, and regulates its powers and composition. Part 3 establishes Office of National Health Insurance. Part 4 makes provision for establishment of Fund on National Health Insurance. Part 5 deals with service unit and standard of public health service. Part 6 establishes committee on quality and standard control of public health service. Part 7 makes provision for competent officer. Part 8 regulates supervision of service unit standard. Part 9 deals with penalties.

Health Promotion Foundation Act (B.E. 2544). - Adoption: 2001-10-27 | THA-2001-L-62433 Provides for establishment of Health Care Promotion Fund, and regulates its functions and management. Health Care Promotion Fund is financed by taxes on liquor and tobacco. Its purpose is to conduct campaigns raising awareness about dangers of liquor and tobacco consumption.

Royal Decree No. 7 regarding social assistance with respect to medical care . Adoption: 1998-08-22 | Date of entry into force: 1998-08-19 | THA-1998-R-53174 Amends the 1980 Royal Decree on social assistance relating to medical treatment (B.E. 2523). Adds a new section 6 Bis which provides for medical care to family members of a person entitled to medical benefits if that person and his family suffer an accident at the same time and that person dies of his injuries. Also replaces s. 11 regarding payment for treatments including artificial organs, room and board.

Notification of the Office of Social Security re: Prescription of Standards for Medical Treatment Establishments Providing Medical Serivces to be Insured. Adoption: 1995-04-11 | Date of entry into force: 1995-04-11 | THA-1995-M-42577 Prescribes criteria for medical treatment establishments recognized as providing services insured by the Social Security Act. Inter alia, establishments shall have not less than 100 beds and provide medical services in twelve or more specified branches.

Notification of the Ministry of Interior No. 11 on Labour Protection. Adoption: 1989-10-12 | THA-1989-M-8385 Amends the Announcement of the Ministry of the Interior respecting Labour Protection (LS 1972-Thai. 2 ) by eliminating the distinction between permanent and temporary employees. Modifies ss. 32, 33 and 33bis relating to holiday pay, sick pay and pay for military service leave. Revises provisions on severance pay (ss. 45 to 47 and 75), with benefits depending upon length of service; persons performing occasional or seasonal work and persons having engaged in certain acts are excluded from severance pay provisions.
