"(4) A person in receipt of a pension residing in Seychelles or overseas shall provide proof of life certificate in an approved form specified in Schedule 5 quarterly, prior to the pension being paid".
The Schedule to the Pension Regulations is also amended by including a new Schedule 5 which provides the layout of the Life Certificate and who is able to certify the certificate.

Occupational Safety and Health (Safety Officers) Regulations, 2012 (S.I. 6 of 2012). Adoption: 2012-03-01 | SYC-2012-R-91736 In enterprises of more than 50 workers, the employer is to ensure that a safety officer is elected. The employer is to inform the Chief Executive of the Ministry or Department responsible for the administration of the OSH Decree (the Director) in writing of the name of each safety officer or safety representative. The Director is to keep a registry of these names (article 3). The Safety officer is to carry out their work, as far as practicable, under the supervision of a person who has effective control over the work that is carried on within the enterprise (article 4). The employer is to provide all necessary facilities, equipment and information to the Safety Officer (article 5). The Regulations also set out the contents that are required in the Safety Officer's reports (article 6) and the action the employer must take on receipt of this report (article 7). Article 8 sets out the duties of the Safety Officer. Article 9 sets out the categories of premises that are, irrespective of the number of employees in the premises, considered as involving particular risks to safety and health in accordance with sections 26 and 5(2) of the OSH Decree. Article 10 provides that the Director has the power to appoint or designate a Safety Officer if the plant, process or substances to be used warrant such appointment, regardless of the number of persons employed.

Article 2.
The retirement age for the purposes of the Social Security Act shall be -
(a) 60 years, where a person who on the person's next birthday shall be 60 years of age notifies the Director in the form provided by the Director, not less than three months before attaining the age of 60 years of the person's intention to retire on attaining the age of 60 years; or
(b) 63 years, unless the person has already retired at the age of 60 years.
Article 3.
The Social Security (Retirement Age) Regulations, 2010 (S.I. 80 of 2010) is hereby revoked.

Adds a new section 29A concerning what a member is to be provided with, i.e. a statement of their contributions to the fund and a copy of the auditor's report, statement of income and expenditure and the balance sheet of the Fund. Section 2 - inserts the following definitions in alphabetical order:
"Tribunal" means the Employment Tribunal established under section 73A;
"member" means a member of the Employment Tribunal;
"Secretary" means the Secretary to the Tribunal;
"Ministry" means the Ministry responsible for employment matters;
"Minister" means the Minister responsible for employment matters;
Also amends sections 55 by deleting words "competent officer" and "officer" and replacing them with the word "Tribunal". Section 61(1A) is repealed and replaced by a new subsection and subsections 1B to 1E are also added. These deal with the responsibilities of the competent officer with respect to grievance procedures. Sections 62(c), 63A, 76, 78 and the Schedules are also amended with respect to wording.
A new section 73A is introduced concerning the establishment of the Employment Tribunal. Schedule 6 is introduced covering the members of the Tribunal, their allowances, jurisdiction, appeals, powers, proceedings, penalties, and the role of the Secretary.
