Decree No. 109/2001 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the adoption of an Agreement between Slovakia and Czech Republic on mutual employment of their citizens.

The convention regulates the obligation of registration that arises for the employers of each party in the case where an employee of one party works in the territory of the other. This agreement is an inseparable part of the agreement of 1992-10-29 (317/1994) on mutual employment of citizens.

Prévoit notamment que chaque partie contractante réadmet sur son territoire, à la demande de l'autre partie contractante, et sans formalités, toute personne qui, sur le territoire de l'Etat de la partie contractante requérante, ne remplit pas ou ne remplit plus les conditions d'entrée ou de séjour en vigueur, lorsqu'il est établi ou valablement présumé qu'elle possède la nationalité de l'Etat de la partie contractante requise.

Agreement No. 95/1995 of 13 February 1995 between the Slovak Republic and the Russian Federation on work permits for Slovak and Russian citizens working in the other country.

A limited number of work permits shall be issued in both States within the framework of a trade or any other contract and based on a work contract or a seasonal work contract. Work permits shall be granted for periods of 3 years, 18 months or 6 months.

Agreement No. 117/1994 of 11 March 1993 between the Slovak Republic and the Government of Bulgaria on cooperation in health matters.

Cooperation shall consist of exchange of information, contacts between medical faculties and professional organisations, exchange of professionals and establishment of an expert commission responsible for mutual research programs (articles 1 and 3). Both States guarantee free medical care for citizens of the other State (article 4).

Agreement of 14 February 1994 between the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Tadjikistan on economic and trade relations and scientific and technical cooperation.

Parties agree to support the development of economic relations by increasing exchange of goods and services, based on trade contracts and carried out by export companies. Both States emphasize their interest in the development of free enterprise relations and the privatization process, and in establishing a mixed committee with the aim of investigating possibilities for economic cooperation.

Guarantees free medical care and appropriate home transport if the insurance of the concerned person provides services in the other State.

Rights and duties originating from the termination of the labour contract must be settled before 31 December 1992. Parties to the contract establish an arbitration commission.

Europe Agreement of 4 October 1993 establishing an association between the European Communities and their member States and the Slovak Republic.

Provides for Slovakia's political integration into Europe and its economic rapprochement with the European Union. In particular, envisages the establishment, over a period of ten years, of a free trade area within which there shall be a free movement of goods, persons and companies, and services. Special provisions govern the movement of capital, competition, approximation of laws, investment promotion and protection, and a number of other issues. Chapter I of Title IV deals with the movement of workers. The treatment accorded to workers of slovakian nationality legally employed in the territory of a member State shall be free from any discrimination and the legally resident spouse and children of such a worker shall have access to the labour market. Contains special provisions relating to the coordination of social security systems. Available in English.

Supports, inter alia, cooperation in trade matters and between companies of both countries. Intensifies cooperation in vocational training and training of experts, especially in the field of economics.

Intensifies, inter alia, economic collaboration between the two countries. Establishes a commission with the aim of examining possibilities for economic, scientific and technical collaboration.

Agreement of 25 March 1993 between the Slovak Republic and the Russian Federation on economic and scientific technical cooperation.

States that Parties are willing to intensify their trade relations. During the transition period of economic systems they may enter mutual contracts for supply of the most important goods. Both States agree to create favourable conditions supporting entrepreneurial structures and to engage in scientific technical cooperation especially in advanced technologies.

Provides that employees do not need a work permit and have a right of residence in the other Republic, and also concers wages and social security benefits.
