National Social Security and Insurance Trust Act, 2001 [No. 5 of 2001]. -

Establishes National Social Security and Insurance Trust and regulates functions and finances of the Trust. Determines coverage of the scheme, as well as calculation of contributions. Benefits payable under this Act include: old age pension and old age gratuity, retirement grant, invalidity pension, invalidity grant, survivor's pension, survivor's grant, as well as other benefits prescribed by the Minister. Finally, makes provision for appeals against decisions of the Trust.
