Part 1 contains preliminary provisions, Part 2 concerns organisation and hierarchy, Part 3 concerns administration of auxiliary police forces, Part 4 deals with discipline and punishment, Part 5 establishes the proceedings of Compensation Board, Part 6 deals with controls on ownership and Part 7 contains general provisions. Regulation 17 provides that associations may not conduct business during working hours unless permission has been granted and Regulation 18 establishes that no auxiliary police officer may strike.

Part 4 deals with leave and passages including casual leave and leave without pay. Part 5 sets forth the rules for police associations. Part 6 contains dress regulations. Part 7 concerns the police fund. Part 8 sets forth the charges for services of police officers.

    Regulates detention and imprisonment of members of Singapore Armed Forces. Divided into 11 parts. Part 1 contains preliminary provisions. Part 2 deals with disciplinary powers of commanding officers, Part 3 with activities of medical officers, and Part 4 with board of visitors. Part 5 provides for admission of detainees and military prisoners, Part 6 for detention and imprisonment administration, Part 7 for maintenance of discipline and detention offences, and Part 8 for discharge of detainees, military prisoners and servicemen under sentence. Part 9 regulates release of detainees and military prisoners, and Part 10 deals with military prisons and military prisoners. Part 11 contains miscellaneous provisions. Work of detainees and military prisoners is regulated in sections 32-33. Establishes prohibition to employ detainee or military prisoner for private benefit of any person.

No non-exempt vessel may leave port without a port certificate (s. 24). Repeals ss. 337, 337A, 339, 340, 341, 352 and 343 of the Merchant Shipping Act (Ch. 172).
