    Organization of Voluntary and Humanitarian Work Act, 2006

    Sets out the principals and goals governing humanitarian work (sections 5 and 6), as well as means for raising and receiving funds and grants. Chapter Two provides for the registration of NGO's and charitable organisations. Chapter Three regulates the organisation of sub-offices, networks, national forums and unions. Chapter Five establishes the Humanitarian Aid Commission and sets out its jurisdiction and powers as well as the establishment of a General Commissioner. Chapter Five deals with violations, penalties, punishment and appeals. Finally, Chapter Six contains general provisions including on accounts, reports etc of NGOs and charitable organisations. Repeals the Humanitarian Aid Commission Act, 1996.

    In pursuance of the provisions in the Constitution, every person is to be free to join or not a political party. A party may also be established if it has at least 100 citizens having the right to vote as members.
