    All Saudi workers in both the private and public sectors will be charged 1% of their monthly salary as a compulsory contribution and their employer will pay the same amount.

    Under article 1 of this Regulation, abuse is defined as any act of bodily, psychological, or sexual mistreatment committed by a person against another person over whom he or she has guardianship or another type of legal authority. The definition includes any failure to provide another person with legally required necessities.

    Article 13 sets a criminal penalty of between one month and one year of imprisonment and/or a fine of between 5,000 and 50,000 Saudi Riyals (about US$1,333-13,330) for anyone who commits an act of abuse as defined in article 1, unless a higher penalty is provided for under Sharia' law or other regulations in force.

    However, article 11 implies that not all acts of abuse as defined under article 1 will constitute criminal offenses. Article 11 gives an undefined "competent authority" within the Saudi legal system the power to determine which acts of abuse constitute criminal offenses by stipulating "if the competent authority determines that the act of abuse constitutes a crime, it shall refer the matter to the competent law enforcement authority to take the necessary measures."

    Section 37 of the Social Insurance Law (Royal Decree M/33) is amended concerning the expenses of preparation and repatriation of the contributor's body or self to their homeland, in the case of death from an occupational accident or if the person has been permanently and totally disabled from a work accident and is in need of his family's care.

    Section (2): Paragraph (1/c) of Section 38 of the Social Insurance Law (Royal Decree M/33) is amended as follows: female beneficiaries are entitled to pension payments at 55 years of age if they have contributed to the social insurance fund for a period of at least 120 months.

    Section (3): paragraph (2) of Section 38 of the Social Insurance Law (Royal Decree M/33) is amended as follows: upon turning 60 years old, a beneficiary whose has contributed for a period of at least 5 years but has not completed the number of months necessary to entitle them to the pension payment, may add a certain period to the allowed period not to exceed more than 5 years.

    Section (4): Paragraph 4 of Section 43 of the Social Insurance Law (Royal Decree M/33) is amended, excludes voluntary contributors from sub-paragraph (3/c) of Section 38.

    Minors may not work during a period of night the duration of which is not less than twelve consecutive hours, except in the following cases:

    1. Work in family enterprise.
    2. Work in vocational schools and training centers.
    3. Work in bakery, except the time period from 9 pm to 4 am.
    4. Cases of force majeure and emergencies.

    Law on the Allegiance Council, 2006.

    Establishes the Allegiance Council which comprises of:

    1) the sons of King Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;
    2) Grandsons of King Abdulaziz whose fathers are deceased, incapacitated (as determined by a medical report) or otherwise unwilling to assume the throne. Members appointed by the King must be capable and known for their integrity.
    3) a son of the King and a son of the Crown Prince, both to be appointed by the King. They should be capable and known for their integrity.

    Sets out the duties of the Council as well as its functions.

    Order of the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs No. 8794 of 8 September 2006 regarding the list of contractors classification system.

    The Order defines the conditions under which a contractor can be listed in the country registry list. The order specifies the length of contracts, wages, types of contractors, business partners and the issue of an official contractors certificate.

    Council of Ministers Order No. 162, of 6/7/2007, regarding Social Insurance.

    The Order contains 24 Articles defining who is entitled to social security benefits. It provides for the amount of money to be given to each category of person as well as how and the Government will receive income for the Social Security Fund.
