    The Act re-enacts the existing law relating to shops and establishments with regard to its application to the Province of Balochistan, in accordance with the situation, conditions and requirements of the province. It repeals the West Pakistan Shops and Establishments Ordinance 1969 (No. 8) in as far as it applies to Balochistan.

Provides, inter alia, for payment of wages, hours of work, holidays and maternity leave as well as prohibition of child labour. Section 20 provides that "No child shall be required or allowed or employed to work in any establishment for any nature of work."

    Repeals the West Pakistan Shops and Establishments Ordinance, 1969 West Pakistan (Ordinance No. VIII of 1969) to the extent that it applies to the Province.
