    The provisions of the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 in its application to the Province of Sindh, are hereby repealed.

    Provides for regulation of industrial and commercial employment in the Province of the Sindh. Section 3 provides that in "every industrial or commercial establishment, conditions of the employment of workers and other incidental matters shall, subject to the other provisions of this Act, be regulated in accordance with the Standing Orders." The Standing Orders are detailed in the Schedule to the Act.

    Repeals the Industrial and Commercial Employment (Standing Orders) Ordinance, 1968 (W.P. Ordinance No.VI of 1969) to the extent it applies to the Province of Sindh.

    (ii) the Minimum Wages for Unskilled Workers Ordinance, 1969 (W.P.Ord.No.XX of 1969);

Wages include cost of living allowance as admissible under Employees Cost of Living (Relief) Act, 1973, and special allowance announced by Government, from time to time, before commencement of West Pakistan Minimum Wages for Unskilled Workers (Amendment) Ordinance, 2001.

    Amends the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923 with regard to payment of compensation; the West Pakistan Maternity Benefit Ordinance, 1958 concerning entitlement to maternity benefit; the Provincial Employees' Social Security Ordinance, 1965 with regard to age limits, length of payment of benefit, survivors' benefit where the survivor is a female spouse, medical care of dependants and related matters; the Workers' Children (Education) Ordinance, 1972, with regard to collection and administration of "cess"; and the Employees' Old-Age Benefits Act, 1976, with regard to entitlement to old-age pension and survivors' benefits.
