The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prohibition of Employment of Children Act, 2015 (Act No. XIX of 2015). - Adoption: 2015-05-04 | Date of entry into force: 2015-05-11 | PAK-2015-L-102082 The Act applies to the whole of the Province of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It defines a child as anyone under the age of 14 and an adolescent as anyone between the ages of 14 and up until they have completed their 18th year of age. Prohibits the employment of children in any work except for light work for a maximum of two hours a day if this is part of their training or with family members. No adolescent is to be employed or permitted to work in any hazardous work included in the Schedule.
Repeals the Employment of Children Act, 1991 (Act No. V of 1991) to the extent of the Province of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
