- Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 (No. XXVII of 1997) - adds a new section 11WW establishing the offence of lynching and setting out penalties for those committing the offence.

Criminal Law (Amendment) (Offences Relating to Rape) Act, 2016 (Act XLIV of 2016). -

The Criminal Law (Amendment) (Offences Relating to Rape) Act 2016 amends the Pakistan Penal Code of 1860, which penalised the offence of rape against women in 2006.
Section 2 amends Section 55 of the Penal Code and makes offences related to rape non commutable.

The Act amends Section 376 of the Penal Code establishing that whoever commits rape of a minor or a person with mental or physical disability shall be punished with death or life imprisonment, including public servants such as police officers, medical officers or jailers, who, taking advantage of their official position, commit rape. Section 367A of the Penal Code is also amended, prohibiting the disclosure of the identity of the victim of rape. The Act also inserts a new section providing for the obligation of the investigation officer to record the statement of the victim in presence of a female police officer or other female family members of the victim.

Finally, the Act deletes Article 151(4) of the Qanun-e-Shahadat Order, 1984 (P.O. No. 10 of l984) which provided that "the credit of a witness may be impeached in the following ways by the adverse party, or, with the consent of the Court, by the party who calls him:...(4) when a man is prosecuted for rape or an attempt to ravish, it may be shown that the prosecutrix was of generally immoral character."

Criminal Procedure, 1898 by increasing the penalties for honour killings and amending the definition and scope of offences relating to honour killing. It treats the case of honour killing as “Fasad-fil-ard” for which the sentence suggested is life imprisonment that can’t be waived or compounded.

The Borstal must "provide to the inmates the facilities of basic education and training for their mental, moral and psychological development, and make proper arrangement for their health, hygiene, medical care, accommodation, food and facility of meetings with their relatives, in such manner as may be prescribed."

Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898) by inserting new sections 203A, B and C and amends the 11th Schedule (penalties). Also Amends the Offence of Zina (Enforcement of Hudood) Ordinance, 1979 (Ordinance No. VII of 1979), the Offence of Qazf (Enforcement of Hadd) Ordinance, 1979 (VIII of 1979) and the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, 1939 (VIII of 1939).

Specific examples of wrongdoing are set out, such as murder or causing death through negligence, and penalties are described in detail for each case. Illustrations of situations are used to describe various kinds of wrongdoing. One of the penalties specified is "arsh", which is the payment of compensation to a victim or his heirs. Another is "quisas", a punishment by causing similar hurt at the same part of the body of the convicted person as he or she has caused to the victim, or in certain circumstances by causing the death of the wrongdoer.
