Holidays Act 1951 (Act 369). (Akta Hari Kelepasan) - Adoption: 1951 | MYS-1951-L-63376 Provides for public and bank holidays. Contains 10 sections. Section 1 regulates application of act; Section 2 its interpretation. Section 3 defines public holidays. Section 4 provides for exemptions from public holidays, Section 5 for bank holidays, and Section 6 for exemption from bank holidays. Section 7 deals with payments on public or bank holidays. Section 8 establishes that Minister may appoint special days to be observed as bank or public holidays. Section 9 provides for state and federal territory public holidays. Section 10 deals with exemption from state and federal territory public holidays, as well as power to close courts and public offices.
