Employment (Amendment) Act 2012 (Act A1419). -

Amends the principal Act, in particular with respect to wages. Section 19 is replaced with a new section entitled "Time of Payment of Wages". Section 25 is also replaced with a new section concerning "Wages to be paid through bank". New sections are also introduced
- Section 25A concerning payment of wages other than through bank;
- Section 33A concerning information relating to supply of employees;
- Section 44A concerning application of this part irrespective of wages of female employee;
- Section 57A concerning employment of foreign domestic servants
- Section 57B concerning duty to inform the Director General of termination of service of foreign domestic servant
- Part XVA concerning Sexual Harassment (New sections 81A-81G)
- Section 90A concerning protection of officers

Sets out the rules for employers to keep registers of their employees. Repeals the Labour Rules [G.N. 353/1936] and Labour (Register of Workers) Rules 1959 [G.N.S. 81/1959].

Extends the application of the Employment Act to the Federal Territory of Labuan. Repeals the Labour Ordinance [Sabah Cap. 67] and all subsidiary legislation made under the order in its application to the Federal Territory of Labuan. Subsidiary legislation made under the Employment Act that apply to Labuan are listed in the Schedule.
