Dangerous Chemicals Control Act, 2004 (Act No. 16 of 2004) - Adoption: 2004-07-06 | MUS-2004-L-70209 Establishes the Dangerous Chemicals Advisory Council and the Dangerous Chemicals Control Board. Part IV provides for licenses, permits, notificaton and duty to provide information concerning dangerous chemicals. Part V regulates the classification, labelling and sale of dangerous chemicals. Part VI deals with the duty of importers, exporters and manufacturers to provide safety data sheets. Part VII deals with protection against dangerous chemicals including duties of employers, workers and safe guards for the public. Part VIII regulates the transport and storage of dangerous chemicals and Part IX provides that certain chemicals listed in schedule 18 are to be prohibited. Part X sets out the enforcement provisions for the Act.
