Law of 26 October 2017 "On the 2014 Protocol, which Complements the International Labor Organization's 1930 Convention on Forced Labor". -

Implements and approves the 2014 Protocol, which complements the International Labor Organization's 1930 Convention on Forced Labor. Establishes, that the fulfilment of the obligations provided for in the Protocol must be coordinated by the Ministry of Welfare of Latvia.
Introduces the text of the Protocol in English and in Latvian languages as follows: "Protocol of 2014 to the Forced Labour Convention, 1930 (Entry into force: 09 Nov 2016). Adoption: Geneva, 103rd ILC session (11 Jun 2014).

Sets the purpose of the law, specifies the concept of volunteering, as well as the organizer of volunteering, voluntary worker, engagement in volunteering and termination. Regulates the relationships arising from volunteering introducing the procedure of concluding a contract on volunteering, the rights and duties of organizer of volunteering, insurance procedure for volunteers. Also establishes volunteer information system.

Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 210/2001 on limiting of prostitution.

Determines the procedure for limiting and controlling prostitution. Forbids minors to engage in prostitution, sets health certification requirements, forbids third parties from promoting prostitution services.
