    The Act amends Sections 75 and 76 of the Code increasing the age of criminal liability from eight to twelve years old. The amendment extends this a litte by stating that a child between the ages of twelve and fourteen who has « not sufficient maturity of understanding » is also excepted from criminal liabilty.

    The Act inserts a new section 122A in the Code in order to ascertain the degree of maturity and responsibility for a criminal act committed by a child over the age of 12 years old and under 14 years old. This amendment was adopted in order to enforce the amendment to section 76 of the Penal Code which increases the age of responsibillity for criminal acts.

Replaces section 360C on trafficking and inserts sections 360D and 360E on "Offences related to adoption" and on "Soliciting a child". Also amends sections 364, 365, 365A and 365B.
