    These regulations provide for labelling of pesticides, registration and licensing, manufacturing, importation, advertising, use, purchasing, repacking, retailing, etc. of pesticides. manufacture, import, advertise, use, sale or exposing or offer for sale requires approval of the pesticide by the Pesticides Board and registration of the pesticide which shall be published in the Official Gazette (reg. 3). Powers of the Board as regards registration of pesticides are set out in regulation 8. Regulation 18 provides for transport of pesticides.

    Part II contains, inter alia, sections on management and development plans, Fisheries Advisory Committee, regional cooperation, licences for foreign and local vessels, fish processing establishments and local fisheries management areas. Chapter II concerns the post of the Governor-General; Chapter III the Parliament; Chapter IV the Executive. Regulations affecting the public service, including teachers, are set forth in Chapter VI. Chapter VII governs citizenship and Chapter VIII provides judicial provisions. Existing laws shall remain in effect unless modified or abrogated (Schedule 2, s. 2).

    The Pesticides Control Board is established under section 3. The Board shall advise the Minister in making Regulations under this Act (sect. 3). The Minister is granted extensive powers of regulation with respect of matters listed in section 7. The remaining provisions concern authorisation of entry, offences and punishment, the taking of samples, and further regulation. (12 sections completed by one Schedule)
