    Regulation of Wages (Protective Security Devices) Order, 1995 (L.N. No. 178).

    Sets forth minimum wage rates and comprehensive conditions of employment regulations for persons employed in security services. Inter alia, casual employees employed for more than 90 days in one year shall be confirmed to regular monthly terms of employment (s. 4); employees shall be entitled to a housing allowance if the employer does not provide free housing (s. 6).

Applies to persons employed directly or indirectly by an undertaking involved in 1) private investigation or security consultancy, 2) guarding of industrial plants, banks, warehouses, etc. against theft, illegal entry or fire and 3) escort of money or other valuable property. Order stipulates the applicable minimum wage and regulates housing allowances, work hours, overtime provisions, sick and maternity leave, death expenses and bereavement expenses.
