    Regulation of Wages (Building and Construction Industry) Order 1989. L.N. No. 11.

    This Order, which applies to employees in the industries of construction, structural alteration, maintenance or repair of any building, construction of any railways line, demolition etc., establishes basic minimum wage rates. Sections 5-9 relate to hours of work, overtime pay, holidays with pay, annual leave and leave travelling allowance. Maternity leave is provided by s.13 (twelve weeks, eight of which are paid). Section 15 covers retirement benefits and terminal benefits. Workers' compensation is provided for in s.28. Revokes the 1980 Order of the same name.
