    Provides for numerous amendments of the Penal Code (Cap. 63) and the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 75). Amends provisions on sexual crimes (sections 140 to 154, 156 to 157) and removes from numerous sections "corporal punishment". Amends the Criminal Procedure Code, inter alia, with regard to provisions on court to be open, transfer of cases between magistrates, resumption of proceedings or trial, power to order costs against accused or private prosecutor, and orders for compensation and expenses. Adds Part IX-A "Victim impact statements". Provides also for amendments of the Evidence Act.
