    Enacted pursuant to the Factories Ordinance, 1950 (No. 38 of 1950). Sets forth, inter alia, provisions relating to safety procedures aboard ships or at piers.The Factories Act has since been repealed by article 129 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007 (Act No. 15 of 2007), which becomes the new basic text for this Regulation. Article 129(2)(b) provides that:

    "any subsidiary legislation issued before the commencement of this Act shall, as long as it is not inconsistent with this Act remain in force until repealed or revoked by subsidiary legislation under the provisions of this Act and shall, for all purposes be deemed to have been made under this Act."
