Law No. 13 Of 2012 concerning Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Law. -

For achieving the objectives of this Law, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is to work on the following in cooperation and coordination with the competent bodies:
a. Exploiting Renewable Energy Sources for increasing the
percentage of their contribution to the total energy mix,achieving safe supply thereof and promoting investment thereto.
b. Contributing to environmental protection and achieving sustainable development.
c. Rationalizing the exploitation of energy and improving its efficiency in various sectors.

In cases not prescribed in this Law, the provisions of the
Electricity Law shall apply.

Regulation No. 20 of 1997 concerning the Administrative Regulation for the Ministry of Social Development promulgated under section 120 of the Constitution.

Defines the terms the Ministry of Social Development, the Minister of Social Development, the Secretary General of the Ministry, the Directorates in the Governorates or Municipalities, and the Director of any Directorate. Also defines the objectives of the Ministry, provides that the Council of Ministers issue orders to define the policies on social labour and integral development in the Kingdom within the legislation in force. The Ministry is composed of a committee under the name of the Planning Committee which is presided over by the Minister.
