Article 3 For the purpose of implementing the provisions of this Law:
a.person with a disability is defined as a person who has long-term physical, sensory, intellectual, mental, psychological or neurological impairment, which, as a result of interaction with other physical and behavioral barriers, may hinder performance by such person of one of the major life activities or hinder the exercise by such person of any right or basic freedom independently.
b. An impairment will be considered of a long-term nature according to Clause (a) of this Article if the impairment is not expected to disappear in at least (24) months from the date of commencement of treatment or of rehabilitation.
c. Physical obstacles and behavioral barriers mentioned in Clause (a) of this Article include lack or absence of reasonable accommodation or accessible formats or accessibility, and also include individual behaviors and discriminative institutional practices on the basis of disability.
d. Major life activities mentioned in Clause (a) of this Article include the following: 1. Eating, drinking, administering, self- care, reading and writing. 2. Movement and mobility. 3. Interaction and concentration, expression and verbal, visual and written communication. 4. Learning, rehabilitation and training. 5. Work.

Law No. 13 of 2015 concerning Agriculture Law. - Adoption: 2015-04-16 | Date of entry into force: 2015-05-16 | JOR-2015-L-102861 This Law consisting of 73 articles divided in XIV Sections aims at reorganizing agriculture sector in the Kingdom of Jordan. The Ministry of Agriculture shall regulate, organize and develop the agriculture field in order to: increase the production of food and foodstuffs; use of natural and agricultural resources without damaging the environment; create of suitable conditions for investing in agricultural sectors and rural development; increase the production capacity; increase farmer’s incomes and improve their lifestyle; protect animals; improve the use of irrigation waters; face animal and plant diseases and epidemics; carry out scientific research and desertification control; and encourage agricultural cooperative work and agricultural cooperative associations. Public health measures and sanitary plant measures are discussed in articles 5-8. The Ministry of Agriculture shall: issue importation and exportation licences for agricultural products; in cooperation with other authorities, contribute in defining the National Standardization and Metrology standards for agricultural products; issue the directives required to organize plant production in a manner that secures efficiency of production and conservation of the agricultural resources and the environment. The Law establishes that licences are required for: establishing olive presses; producing, propagating, trading in seeds, fertilizers, plant growth regulators, the veterinary medicines, bio-veterinary preparations or animal growth regulators; producing or preparing pesticides; investing private forests through pruning or replacement of forest trees with fruit trees; grazing in the governmental forests; processing, investing or transport forest materials; cutting forest trees or bushes or wild plants; processing coal from governmental or private forests; establishing farms or hatcheries; producing or preparing materials of raw feed of animal origin, manufactured feed or feed additives; operating in slaughterhouses of poultry and livestock; fishing for commercial purposes; hunting wild birds or wild animals.
The Law also regulates: fishing, wildlife protection, hunting season, protected species, management of waste materials (i.e. plastic or containers of insecticide or seeds that have been used for agricultural purposes); inspections.
The XIV Sections are entitled as follows: Definitions; Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures; Plant Production; Seeds; Fertilizers and Plant Growth Regulators; Pesticides; Control of Plant Pests and Plant Quarantine; Forests and Ranges; Animal Production; Animal Health and Veterinary Quarantine; Slaughter of Poultry and Livestock; Fishing; Bees; Protection of Wild Birds and Wild Animals; and General Provisions.
This Law Repeals Law No. 20 of 1973 concerning Agriculture.

Requires employers to purchase insurance from any legally licensed company that will cover the householder (employer) for financial losses resulting from the worker leaving or ‘refusing to work’. In addition, recruiters are bound to replace domestic workers for employers in three circumstances. Firstly, recruiters must replace those who ‘refuse to work’ for their new employer during the first 30 days at no further cost to the householder and on condition that the original recruit is ‘transferred outside of the country’. Secondly, where a migrant worker fails to arrive in Jordan whether by choice or not, recruiters must provide their employer with a replacement domestic worker at no additional cost. Thirdly, the responsible recruiter must also replace a domestic worker if the employer finds her to be pregnant or are otherwise certified as unfit by the Ministry of Health. However, recruiters are not legally responsible for replacing a domestic worker if employers have caused her to leave their employment, such as in cases where they have assaulted the worker.
