    This Law repeals Section 8 paragraph (c) and amends Sections 49 and 78 of the Judiciary Law, 1984. Section 5 paragraph (d) of the Labour Courts Law, 1969 is also repealed.

    Amends sections 323, 337 of the Law concerning the responsibility of parent or person having charge of a minor concerning necessaries of live, health care, prevention of maltreatment. A new article 6A in Chapter 10 is inserted concerning injury to minors and helpless persons.

    Penal Law (Amendment No. 21) (No. 26 of 1987).

    Allows persons who have been sentenced to 6 months or less imprisonment to perform "service work" in lieu of being incarcerated. Such work shall be paid no less than 90 per cent of the minimum wage.
