    Government Decree No. 18/2006 on the protection against accidents in relation with dangerous substances.

    The operator of a dangerous industry must satisfy to the conditions defined in the annexes to the decree, which include a report on safety, a risk assessment and an internal protection plan.

    Also determines the elements to be examined by the authority during a control. Jobs within the dangerous area should be approved by a committee set up by the authorities, and the operator has to report to the authorities any serious accident in relation with a dangerous substance.

    Decree No. 66/2005 of the Minister of Health on the minimum safety and health requirements concerning workers' exposure to noise.

    Determines the protection that workers must receive if their exposure to noise is below or above the prescribed level. Also sets forth the duty of the employer to make a risk assessment, which includes a noise inspection of the workplace in specific situations. When making the risk assessment, the employer must take into account possible effects on vulnerable workers such as pregnant women, youth or persons with hearing disorders. If the workers' exposure to noise is above the prescribed level, the employer has to provide access to a medical examination, which the worker must undergo.

    Decree No. 22/2005 of the Minister of Health on the minimum health and and security standards to be applied to workers exposed to vibration.

    Sets limits to the vibration workers can be exposed to. Workers who are exposed are to be under medical supervision, with a medical examination every other year. The vibration level in the workplace is to be evaluated in the risk evaluation. Risks caused by mechanical vibration are to be reduced at their source.

    Provides for identification, prevention, reduction, control, and notification of potential harmful effects of dangerous substances. Chapter I contains definition and determines scope of application. Chapter II regulates classification of dangerous substances, and identification of risk. Chapter III makes provision for notification requirements and registration of new substances. Chapter IV deals with packaging, labelling, storage, transport and advertisement of dangerous substances. Chapter V provides for assessment and reduction of risks, Chapter VI for risk control, and Chapter VII for communication of risks, and information exchange. Chapter VIII sets forth criteria for use of dangerous substances and regulatory control of chemical safety. Finally, Chapter IX contains final provisions.

    Les travailleurs du service de médecine de l'entreprise, même s'ils ne sont pas employés directement par l'entreprise, ont droit aux mêmes primes que les travailleurs réguliers. La durée hebdomadaire est limitée à 36 heures dans certains secteurs (fonderies, chaleur, fours à coke, broyage des minéraux, mines dans lesquelles une exposition aux rayonnements ionisants est possible, lieux de travail où il y a exposition au plomb ou autres substances toxiques, industrie du textile avec transformation de l'amiante, production de résines artificielles). Des dispositions concernent les paiements en nature des mineurs.

    Ordonnance No. 135 du 22 décembre 1989 du Conseil des Ministres portant création du Système national de Prévention des Accidents nucléaires.

    Le Système vise essentiellement à évaluer, atténuer et éliminer les effets de toute situation jugée dangereuse (accident dans une installation nucléaire nationale ou lors du transport de matières radioactives, accident nucléaire hors du territoire national). Est créée une Commission gouvernementale de prévention des accidents nucléaires, dont la mission est de décréter l'état d'urgence et d'ordonner la mise en oeuvre partielle ou totale du Système. Les normes de contamination et de radioprotection sont fixées par le ministre des Affaires sociales et de la Santé.
