The Ministry of Health gives authority to medical establishments already in charge of occupational medicine to undertake examinations of persons working with sources of ionising radiation. A doctor specialized in occupational medicine conducts the examination and offers an opinion on the health of the person. Examinations are of various types: preventive, regular, control, exceptional control. Provides that pregnant women and breast-feeding women as well as persons suffering from various illnesses cannot work with sources of ionising radiation.

Regulations of 30 June 2000 on conditions and means of acquiring special training by persons who perform an activity with sources of ionising radiation (Text No. 1469).
