    Regulates the competence and methods of work, as well as the conditions of appointment and acquittal of duty of the Ombudsman for Children and its Deputies (Article 1). The Ombudsman is to promote the rights and interests of children on the basis of the Constitution, international treaties and laws (Article 2).

    Regulations of 17 April 2002 on tasks for which minors cannot be employed and on tasks that can only be performed after having previously established their health capacity (Text No. 1069).

    Provides that minors cannot be employed for tasks considered by prescriptions on occupational safety as tasks with special working conditions, and for tasks considered by pension insurance as particularly difficult and dangerous for the health. Also provides that minors can be employed to other tasks after having previously established their health capacity, and presents the conditions of the medical examination. Available in French.

    Provides that mediation can only be done by secondary education institutions and the Croatian Holiday Hostel Union.

    Mediation is accomplished by legal persons responsible for student labour market and for payment of wages. Provides for rights and obligations of mediators and students.

    Regulations of 8 February 1995 on extent of, conditions for and performance of mediation within the placement process when this mediation is carried out by a legal person outside of the Placement Service (Text No. 219).

    Refers to legal persons (mediators) listed in article 2 Part 2 of the Act on Placement who can be involved in student and pupil placement for temporary jobs (article 2). Mediators must have high-level qualifications in social matters and at least three years' experience in placement mediation (article 4). Mediators cannot register their activity without agreement of the Ministry of Labour and Social Care (article 6).
