    An Act to alter the Constitution in accordance with articles 66 and 164 thereof, to amend the Labour Act, to give legal effect to certain provisions of the agreement set out in the Schedule and to provide for matters connected therewith. Amendment of the Labour Act; inserts, inter alia, a new Part VIIA (Collective Agreements), and a new section 33A (Arbitration Tribunal).

    Part I establishes a Department of Labour and the post of Chief Labour Officer. Part II provides the Minister power to investigate and appoint an arbitrator in trade disputes. Part III provides for the regulation of wages. Part IV covers rights of employees and duties and obligation of employers in respect of labour contracts. Part V contains provisions relating to payment of wages and wage deductions. Part VI covers wages in retail shops selling alcohol; Part VII provides for the regulation of hours of work.
