The minimum subsistance level of one person is 3140CZK per month. For dependents or other persons living in the same family, the minimum subsistance level is:
a) 2830CZK for a person older than 15 years and who is not a dependant child;
b) 2450CZK for a dependant child between 15 and 26 years of age;
c) 2140CZK for a dependant child obetween 6 and 15 years of age; and
d) 1740CZK for a dependant child under 6 years old.

The living minimum of a person is set at 2200CZK per month.

The amendments ensure equality of treatment between employees that benefit from a regular work contract and employees on short term employment contracts who are employed for a performance of a specific task and whose work contract ends with the task.

Amends almost all sections of the Labour Code (Act No. 262/2006) to take into consideration the above principle. In addition to amendments to existing sections, the text adds the following sections: 1a, 4a, 4b, 43a, 51a, 73a, 134a, 301a, 307a, 339a, 345a, 346a, 346b, 346c, and 350a and repeals sections 82, 84a and 332.

Act No. 435/2004 on Employment is amended by adding a specific provision for job seekers who lost their employment during the last 6 months in a particularly drastic way due to a serious professional fault.

Act No. 187/2006 is amended by adding a new section 7a on health insurance of employees employed for a performance of a specific task.

Act No. 309/2006 is amended by adding a new section 10a on proof of certification of professional competence valid for 5 years.

The Act repeals section 16 of Decree No. 125/1993 Coll., laying down the conditions and rates of employer liability insurance for accidents at work or occupational diseases, as amended by Decree No. 43/1995 Coll. and Decree No. 487/2001 Coll.

Amends numerous sections of the Act No. 111/2006 on providing help in material distress. Repeals sections 12, 17, 30, 32; adds 35a; repeals 41, 66. The amendments concern in the first part pregnant and breast-feeding mothers. Some provisions also touch the topic of reimbursement of benefits received that exceed the entitlement of the person.

Amends numerous sections of the Act No. 108/2006 on social services. The amendments inter alia concern the classification of dependent persons and the degree of dependency. They also regulate the rights and obligations of different types of public servants towards the dependent person (i.e. access to the home of such person).

Amends following sections of the Act No. 117/1995 on Social Assistance: 2a, 3, 19(2); adds 27a; amends 30, 30a, 30b, 31; repeals 32; amends 37(3), 47, 50; adds 54a; amends 58(3), 59(7), 61(3), 62 - 64, 64a, 65(4), 65c(6), 68 - 69, 70(3), 71(1); repeals 73 and 73b; amends 73a. Act No. 435/2004 has been amended to take into account the new territorial structure of Labour Offices as well as to the existence of new labour agencies.

The following sections are modified: Section 4 concerning the prohibition of discrimination in realization of the right to employment. Sections 5, 6, 8a (concerning a dismissal for serious professional fault), 9, 12, 14, 20, 24, 25, 29, 30, 33, 35. Repeals section 36, amends sections 37b, 38, 39, 41, 48, 53, 58a, 59, 60, 61, 65, 66, 67, 72, 75, 76, 77, 78, 80, 81, 82, 86, 87, 90, 92, 95, 102, 105, 109. Adds a new Section 109a about self-provided retraining of job-seeker and the subsidies given for this purpose by the Labour Office. Amends sections 111, 112, 113, 118, 119. Includes a new Chapter 5 containing a new Section 119a on shared providing of employment. This regulates relationships of district branches of the Labour Office with employment agencies eventually contracted to share burden of placement into employment. The act further amends sections 182, 126, 127, 130, 132, 139, 140, 141, 145, 147, 147a. Adds Section 147d about safeguard of data related to employment placement.

This Act also amends the following Acts to update sections where Act 435/2004 was referred to:

The Part I amends sections 3a, 4, 5, 6, 8 (on evaluation of health situation and work ability) of Act No. 582/1991 on the organization and implementation of social security. Adds a new section 127a.

Part II amends sections 7(3), 8(1)(m-n), 78, 98, 104, 113, 116 and 140 of the Employment Act No. 435/2004. It deals mainly in the condition of eligibility to be considered as disadvantaged person from the health point of view.

Specifies a supplement of 10% for night work. The minimum hourly salary shall not be lover then 6.50 CZK.
The levels of supplements for work in arduous environment shall amount to the supplements practised by the same enterprise for all other employees. In the case where the employer is the not a private enterprise, these supplements should follow the the scales of civil servants.
