A new section 16.1 is inserted concerning sending an undertaking to claimant with respect to measures to be taken to ensure compliance with the Act. Replaces section 17(1) of the Act concerning order of material safety data sheet. Sections 18(1) and 18(2) are replaced concerning notice of decisions and copies of notices. Section 20(1) is replaced concerning right to appeal. Amendments are also made to section 23 with respect to disposition of an appeal.

Part 3 deals with internal-combustion engine fuel quality. Parts 4 and 5 regulate issuance of permit for construction and operation. Part 6 provides for inventory and record-keeping. Part 7 deals with spillages and leakages. Part 8 provides for transfer of permits and property. Part 9 deals with out-of-service storage tank systems. Part 10 makes provision for issuance of license to petroleum technicians; Part 11 for required tests and inspections. Finally Part 12 provides for upgrading and removal of storage tank systems.

Provides for safety and health protection of persons who are exposed to consumer chemical products. Replaces former Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations by a more flexible criteria-based system. Initial sections deal with hazard categories, child-resistant containers, required information, and data sources. Part I deals with toxic products, Part II with corrosive products, Part III with flammable products, Part IV with quick skin-bonding adhesives, and Part V with pressurized containers.
