    Employees who assume the duties of education, rehabilitation or caring for disabled persons in government schools affiliated to the Ministry of Education and Rehabilitation Centers that belongs to the Ministry of Social Development are entitled to a monthly salary increment as follows:

    100 BD to employees in the category of educational employment.
    50 BD to employees in the category of public employees.

    The Civil Service Bureau shall determine the positions whose occupants deserve defrayal of the aforesaid increment.

    The Decree, issued by the General Commission for Social Security, amends article 1(2) of Decree No. 7/2007 regarding the conditions and procedures for combining the period of prior service to the current service period for those who returned to service as civil servants at the government.

    The new amended paragraph states that civil servant are to return the bonus that was given to them according to Act No. 13/175 with 5% interest over an agreed period of time or by deducting it monthly from his current salary.

    Article 51(c) of the Civil Service Law No. 35 of 2006 is amended as follows:
    "Maternity Leave: Female employees are entitled to 60 days leave, starting from the day she gives birth, and it is also possible, following a special request from the employee, to receive this leave up to 15 days before the estimated day of the delivery."

    The Decree sets the conditions for the creation of the Pension Fund and Retirement Benefits of old and retired members of the Shura Council, the Parliament and the Municipal Councils, that will be run by the General Authority for Social Insurance.
    It presents the different schemes provided by the General Authority for different categories of employees, according to their health status, previous position and age.

    Order No. 16 of 1992 to provide for benefits and leave entitlements accruing to government employees during periods of absence from work due to an occupational accident.

    Provides that civil servants subject to the provisions of Act No.13, 1975, as amended, shall, for the entire duration of their absence from work due to an occupational accident, receive an amount equivalent to their former salary in addition to their statutory entitlement to compensation from the pension fund. Their leave entitlements continue to accumulate as if they were working normally.

    Provides for the maintenance of discipline within the government service. Establishes the procedures involved in enforcing discipline and with regard to disciplinary infractions. Establishes the responsibilities of the Civil Service Bureau with regard to effective administration of the disciplinary programme. This includes establishing the responsibilities of inter alia, the Head of the Civil Service, the Executive Director, the Chief of Employee Management Relations, and the individual Ministries. Establishes that first offences shall be met with verbal warnings, and that subsequent offences are to be met with written reprimands, suspension and eventually termination of employment as a last resort. Sets the requirements for written warnings. Includes appropriate forms for use with the regulations.
