    The employer may employ the worker for additional hours, the maximum additional working hours shall not exceed 12 hours a week.

    The employee shall receive for each additional working hour a wage equivalent to his due wage plus at least 25 % for hours worked during the day, and at least 50% for hours worked during the night.

    50 BD to employees in the category of public employees.

    The Civil Service Bureau shall determine the positions whose occupants deserve defrayal of the aforesaid increment.

    The Decree, issued by the General Commission for Social Security, amends article 1(2) of Decree No. 7/2007 regarding the conditions and procedures for combining the period of prior service to the current service period for those who returned to service as civil servants at the government.

    The new amended paragraph states that civil servant are to return the bonus that was given to them according to Act No. 13/175 with 5% interest over an agreed period of time or by deducting it monthly from his current salary.

    Ministerial Order No. 8 of 2005 with respect to a Model form of employment contract for domestic help and similar persons.

    Provides a Model Form of Employment Contract for domestic workers. The contract is to include terms and conditions to be adhered to including the term of the contract, wages, medical examination and treatment, provision of food and housing, three month probationary period. The employer is to pay for the return of the worker to their home country. All disputes are to be referred to the Ministry of Labour. Provisions of the Civil Code are to apply to the contract, as are the provisions of the Labour Law for the Private Sector. Contracts are to be made in Arabic with a translation to be made in English.
