Ordinance No. 4 of 1991 to provide for the insertion of a new paragraph in section 110 of the Maritime Act promulgated by Legislative Decree No. 23 of 1982.

Provides that a seafarer serving under a fixed-term contract may, by written request, leave the vessel at the first port it reaches after the expiry of his contract, whereupon his contract shall be effectively terminated.
