    Prévoit une surveillance permanente des travailleurs des espaces limités, la prise de mesures convenables d'assistance et le choix d'équipements de travail en fonction des caractéristiques spécifiques du travail effectué et des risques encourus afin d'éliminer ou sinon de minimiser ces risques. Selon ce décret, l'employeur doit également fournir aux travailleurs les informations adéquates et les notices d'utilisation des équipements de travail. Les équipements de travail, dont la sécurité dépend des conditions d'installation, doivent être soumis à une vérification initiale et à une vérification après chaque montage.

    Le décret applique les dispositions des directives 89/654/CEE et 89/655/CEE du Conseil du 30 novembre 1989.

    Le décret porte sur la conduite des contrôles médicaux obligatoires. Il s'applique à toutes les activités, liées à l'utilisation des sources de rayonnement ionisant, à l'exception de celles énumérées à l'article 8 du décret concernant les normes principales de protection contre l`irradiation (JO, n°73 de 2004).
    Le contrôle médical s'effectue également périodiquement au cours du travail et peut continuer après cessation de l'activité, selon l'appréciation du médecin.

    Ordinance No. 6 of 15 August 2005 of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy on the minimum requirements for health and safety of the employees working exposed to noise.

    Sets out the minimum requirements for the protection of the employees exposed to noise in order to reduce the risk of damaging the workers' hearing. The employer has the obligation to assess and ,if necessary, to detect the level of the noise to which the workers are exposed.
    The ordinance stipulates the methods that shall be used to detect the level of noise. If the assessment indicates risks to the workers' health, the employer shall provide health control and medical examination (art. 13).

    This Decision, issued by the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Public Health and the Central Council of Bulgarian Trade Unions, sets forth the percentages (between 4 and 10 per cent) of normal working hours and the duration of employment for partially disabled workers in industry, construction, agriculture, forestry, transport, communication, commerce, housing, teaching, culture and the fine arts, public health, etc.

    This Decision, issued by the Minister of Public Health, concerns the organisation and the administration of preliminary and periodic medical examinations. Such examinations shall take place every year for workers under 18 years and once every 3 years for workers over 40 years of age, and once every 5 years for workers between 18 and 40. Particular attention is given to minors under age 18, in accordance with provisions of the Labour Code, as well as to workers in contact with harmful substances. The results of the examinations shall be submitted to the competent bodies for analysis. Additional provisions provide a definition of "organic disease of the central nervous system", "psychic diseases" and "drug addiction". The final provisions specify that this Decision has been approved by the Central Council of Bulgarian Trade Unions and by the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs; it repeals Ordinance No. 14 of 1983 on the same subject.

    Order adopted by the Ordinance No. 72 of 1986 of the Council of Ministers and the Central Committee of Bulgarian Trade Unions. It deals with the placement of persons with a reduced working capacity (Part I) and of workers who are pregnant or nursing infants (Part II). Part III contains specific rules on disabled workers engaged in special workshops. The transitional and final provisions specify that this Decision, which entered into force on 1 Jan. 1987, has been issued in application of the Labour Code and that it repeals the Decision of 17 Dec. 1963, as amended by the Decision of 25 Oct. 1965.
