    Main objectives of the amendment:
    - Implementation of the pay agreement (of 30 November 2016) with the trade unions of public services on the salary scheme for 2017.
    - Creation of the possibility of audiovisual interrogation for all - not only minor - witnesses in disciplinary proceedings.
    - Implementation of the EU Directive 2014/54/EU on measures to facilitate the exercise of the rights enjoyed by workers within the framework of freedom of movement for persons, into national law.
    - Establishment of a clear legal basis for collection of criminal record information both from legal practitioners as well as witnesses for admission to the judicial preparation service.
    - Adjustment of the provisions on compensatory leave for civil servants.
    - Combination of the application groups M BUO 1 / M ZUO 1 and M BUO 2 / M ZUO 2 into new application groups M BUO and M ZUO with effect from 1 January 2017.

    - Article 1. Amends the Labour Market Financing Act regarding unemployment social insurance for persons in their late 50s. Introduces two new sections §14 Transfer of the insolvency fund contribution and §15 Contribution to the Labour market reserve.
    - Article 2. Amendments to the Wages Guarantee in case of Insolvency Act regarding expenditure from insolvency fund and unemployment insurance contribution.

    Amendments to:
    § 17 in order to be entitled to unemployment benefit, the registration to the regional employment agency must take place immediately after dismissal within 10 days; can be proceeded through Public Employment Service (eAMS account) within 10 days
    2) Benefits are granted: from the receipt of application via eAMS account within 10 days and in other cases from the date of claim.
    3)Specifies information needed to register as unemployed
    4)failure to comply might result with no benefits granted
    § 46 para 1 After submitting electronic claim, claimants has 10 days to submit in person handwritten signature to the regional Employment Service, in some cases personal appearance is not obligatory (illness)
    § 46 paragraph 5-7 Any changes affecting claim might be notified though phone call or electronically. Should claimants undertake lucrative activity his entitlement expires the same day.

    Amendments concern, inter alia, reimbursement of training costs in case of cessation of employment (amended s. 30), teachers on contract (ss. 37 and 44) and their earning credit for extra performance (s. 45).

    Federal Act of 25 November 1987 amending the Construction Workers' Leave Act [BGBl. 414/1972], the Workers' Termination Act [BGBl. 107/1979] and the Insolvency (Wage Guarantee) Act [LS 1977 - Aus. 1]. Text No. 618.

    This Act changes the title of the 1972 Act to the Construction Workers' Leave and Termination Act. It introduces a new Division III, entitled Conditions of Termination (ss. 13a-13h), which governs rights to severance pay in various cases. The amount of severance pay ranges from two months' wages for a worker who has completed 156 weeks of employment to twelve months' wages for a worker having worked over 1300 weeks (s. 13d). The Act also amends sections dealing with administration of the Leave and Severance Pay Fund and its financing and makes miscellaneous conforming amendments. A new subsection (3) is added to s. 2 of the Workers' Termination Act of 1979 in regard to calculating continuous service. The Insolvency (Wage Guarantee) Act is amended to provide, inter alia, that employers are to pay a supplement; when it has been paid, no claim to severance pay can be made in case of insolvency (amendment of s. 12(1)(Z) and addition of subs. Z5 to s. 1(3)). With the exceptions detailed in Part V of this Act, the amendments entered into force 1 Oct. 1987.

    Order of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of 13 July 1987 amending the 1974 Order which issued rules for Works Councils. Text No. 364.

    The Order contains a variety of amendments to the 1974 Order, which was adopted under the Act on works' councils (published as LS 1973 - Aus. 2). The amendments address the role of the works council in relation to redundancies and dismissals and its review of financial information (ss. 56a, 58(2), 63(3), (4) and (5) and 64). They deal in particular with periods of notice for calling meetings, use of the sex-neutral title "president" instead of "chairman" and judicial resolution of disputes (s. 33(7) of the Order). A new Division 8, entitled "Representation of Young Persons in the Enterprise", is inserted after s. 50.

    A federal Act to recognise workers' claims to severance pay and to amend the Salaried Employees Act [Text 292 of 1921: LS 1921-Aus. 1], the Estate Employees act [Text 538 of 1923: LS 1923-Aus.2], the Contract Employees Act [Text 86 of 1948] and the Insolvency (Guarantee of Remuneration) Act [Text 324 of 1977: LS 1977-Aus.1].
