    It reconfirms institutions registered with the Ministry to pay their employees' wages according to the Wages Protection System.
    Failure to pay an employee's salary within 10 days of the due date will amount to late payment.
    Failure to pay an employee's salary within one month of the due date will amount to a refusal to pay the salary (unless a shorter period is specified under the contract).
    For employers with over 100 employees, where the Ministry discovers that the employer has delayed in paying an employee's salary, it will, for a delay of at least:
    10 days, issue the employer with a warning which provides that the Ministry will not issue any permits after payment has been delayed for 16 days;
    16 days, block the employer's ability to grant work permits (Late Payment Penalty);
    30 days, impose a variety of additional sanctions including informing the judicial authorities and any other relevant authorities to exercise caution when dealing with the employer, refusal to register new licences for the employer, a reduction in the employer's classification to the third class, an extension of the ban on granting work permits to the remaining establishments of the employer without notification and/or ban on transferring employees to other employers (Refusal Penalty); and
    60 days, impose administrative fines on the employer.
    Repeals Ministerial Order No. 788 of 2009 concerning wages protection.

    The establishments holding approval of a portion of non-citizen workers shall provide accommodation to the workers who have already obtained a work permit within one months from the date of issuance of this permit, in the event that the number of its workers is or exceeds fifty workers or more and the total wage of each worker is less than two thousand Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED 2000) per month according to the Wage Protection System adopted by the Ministry.

    All importers, exporter and re-exporters of any materials, equipments and products containing ozone depleting substances must register duly with the authorized authorities and obtain prior permission to import, export or re-export any of the materials prescribed by the law.

    The Resolution encloses an appendix prescribing the materials, equipments and products subject to control pursuant to the resolution. Additionally, the second appendix constitutes a table for substances subject to proper disposal which includes 11 Hydro, Chloral, Flora, Carbonate substances. The products prescribed by the resolution include vehicles air-conditioning, refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, dehumidifier, water coolers, ice makers and aerosol products.

    The Cabinet Resolution also prescribed the authorities and powers delegated to the Ministry of Environment and Water to enforce any procedures or actions to protect the ozone layer.

    Female employees shall be given a period for breastfeeding, two hours a day for six months and one hour a day for the next six months, for one year after maternity leave, at the beginning or end of working hours.

    Maternity leave and annual leave or leave without pay up to a maximum of 100 days may be combined from the start of maternity leave.

    A three-paid day paternity leave shall be given to male employee within a month of the date of childbirth.

    The United Arab Emirates confirms that the lawful sanctions applicable under national law, or pain or suffering arising from or associated with or incidental to these lawful sanctions, do not fall under the concept of "torture" defined in article 1 of this Convention or under the concept of cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment mentioned in this Convention.

    Article 1(b): Reservations
    (1):- In accordance with paragraph 1 of article 28 of the Convention, the United Arab Emirates declares that it does not recognize the competence of the Committee against Torture referred to in article 20 of the Convention.

    (2):- In accordance with paragraph 2 of article 30 of the Convention, the United Arab Emirates does not consider itself bound by paragraph 1 of article 30 relating to arbitration in this Convention.

    (B)he is a member of the Dubai Fishermen Cooperative Society for a period of not less than 15 years;
    (C)he doesn't receive any pension from any local or federal government.
    Section 4: This Decree is effective for fishing boats that are registered in the relevant authorities before August 1, 2008.

    The amount of the social security payments provided by the government is set according to the Social Security Law No. 2/2001, on the amount of 4400 Dirham a month. This amount doesn't apply to physically challenged people, minors, single and divorced females below the age of 35 and orphans.
    The Decree sets the conditions and amounts of money for each category and also sets out the role of the different Ministries in providing vocational training to unemployed people and helping them find jobs.
