    Disposición núm. 33/90, del Director Nacional de Higiene y Seguridad en el Trabajo, por la que se modifican los artículos 3 y 4 de la Disposición DNHST núm. 31/89 [relativa a las sustancias y agentes cancerígenos], y se actualizan los anexos I y II de la citada disposición.

    El artículo 3, en su tenor modificado, dispone que las empresas que produzcan, importen utilicen u obtengan en procesos intermedios, las sustancias o agentes que se enumeran en el anexo I deberán inscribirse en un registro. El anexo II establece la información detallada que se requiere para inscribirse en el "registro de sustancias y agentes cancerígenos". El listado del anexo I se ha confeccionado en base a investigaciones o informaciones producidas por la IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) y la OIT.

    Made under the Waste Minimisation and Management Act 1995. Recasts definition of "hazardous waste" to make clear that it covers both liquid and non-liquid waste. Provides that landfill sites which receive over 20,000 tonnes per year of any type of waste are required to be licensed under the Act. Also provides that certain landfill sites which only receive coal washery rejects and/or slags at a rate of not more than 20,000 tonnes per year are not required to be licensed under the Act. Finally, adds flammable liquids to the list of dangerous goods that comprise hazardous waste.

    Establishes the Office of the Chief Electrical Inspector which shall, inter alia, control the safety standards of electrical work carried out by electrical workers by setting minimum safety standards, inspecting equipment and installations, and investigating accidents. Requires the registration of electrical contractors and maintenance of electrical lines. Part 9 establishes a Victorian Electrolysis Committee which shall provide for cathodic protection and mitigation of stray current corrosion.
