Abstract/Citation
Contains amendments to the Migration Act 1958 relating to lawful non-citizens, effect of cancellation of visa on status, classes of visas, circumstances for granting visas, conditions for visas, application for visas and withdrawal of visa applications. Inserts new sections 26AA, 26AB and 26AC relating to special purposes, absorbed person and ex-citizen visas. Amends subdivision AC relating to grant of visas. Consequential amendments to, inter alia, the Migration Reform Act 1992, the Australian Citizenship Act 1948 and the Immigration (Education) Act 1973.
